The Robinson
Drafter is unique. It was custom designed by Colin Dangaard,
owner and CEO of The Australian Stock Saddle Company, for Diana Robinson,
a California gal who wanted "THE Ultimate Saddle." It is
a combination of the best of the Aussie and Western saddle.
Free-swinging, light-weight fenders hang from stirrup suspension bars
in the dressage position and adjust with Blevins Buckles. A
web-strung seat has a 4 1/2" dip. Your seat bones ride in a hammock!
The tree is built on adjustable wood and steel. In this saddle
you will ride in BALANCE, sit
CLOSE and FEEL your horse. It includes a horn, is fleece lined, and of
course has the tradition Aussie Poleys. It comes with aluminum
stirrups. It is Western rigging with brass fittings. The saddle weighs
33 lbs and has a ????? seat. This saddle is in excellent, almost
new condition. I bought
this saddle new, directly from the Australian Stock Saddle Company in
Malibu, California (www.aussiesaddle.com).
This Robinson Drafter is made of excellent
quality, vegetable tanned cowhide, in Brisbane, Australia
by Trevor James, a well-known saddle maker.
You won't be disappointed in the quality of this saddle. The base
price was
$1795 new.
